Seminar on ???Thailand???s Economy under World Economic Crisis??


Mr. Surapong Suebwonglee, the deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, gave a special speech on the topic of ???New Measures to Stimulate Economy?? at the seminar on ???Thailand???s Economy under World Economic Crisis??, organized by the Economic Reporters Association. New measures will focus on generating more revenue from tourism and providing skill and education to the peple to help them earn more income in which he believed that these new measures will help Thai economy to grow on target at 6%. One of the measures was to promote tourism in Bangkok by transforming the Ratchadamneon road into the Champs Elysees of Thailand and install more lightings along the Chao Phraya River, which was planned to be finished within 4-6 months, at Swissotel Le Concorde Hotel, Bangkok, April 21 2008.
