Social Support Project on Tsunami Extension by BAAC and EU
Mr. Thiraphong Tangthirasunan, the President of Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) and Mr. Erik Habers, the representative of European Union (EU), jointly announced the financial assistance to organizations on their economic rehabilitation projects that help local communities in the 6 southwest provinces of Thailand affected by the Tsunami under the Social Support Project on Tsunami Extension in total amount of 180 million Baht (150 million Baht from EU, 16 million Baht from BAAC and 14 million Baht from private organizations). Meanwhile, BAAC is ready to provide both extended financial support and marketing advice in order to increase job confidence to the people affected by the Tsunami, at the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (Head Office), July 10 2007.
