Seminar on the Green Customs Workshop
Mr. Chavalit Sethametheekul, the director general of the Customs Department, presided over the opening ceremony of the seminar on the Green Customs Workshop, which was part of activities under the Green Customs Initiative that the United Nation Environment Program aims to encourage cooperation between Greater Mekong Sub-regional Countries and Malaysia and raise awareness of their roles on and the necessity of bilateral agreement on environment protection, held from September 5-7 2007 and jointly organized by the Customs Department, the United Nation Environment Program (UNEP), US Regional Environmental Affair (South east Asia-pacific) and WCO Asia Pacific Regional Office for Capacity Building of Thailand, at Ploy Room, Windsor Suited Hotel, Sukhumvit 20, Bangkok, September 5 2007.
