BAAC Announced the Farmer???s Income Guarantee Program
Mr. Luck Wajananawat, the President of Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), welcomed farmers to sign contracts under the farmer???s income guarantee program within December 15 2009. Since the program started, 3.21 million rice farmers have already enrolled for this program while 458,000 rice farmers have received the price difference compensation worth 5,340 million baht, 54,475 cassava farmers have received the compensation worth 472 million baht, 327,080 maize farmers have received the compensation worth 4,989 million baht, for the total of compensation of 10,800 million baht in three categories, at Press Releases Room, Ministry of Finance, December 11 2009.
