MOF???s Spokesman Announced the Monthly Economic Report for September 2009 and 3rd Quarter of 2009
Mr. Akeniti Nititanprapas, the director of Macroeconomic Policy Bureau, the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO), and acting Spokesman of Ministry of Finance, announced the Thailand???s Monthly Economic Report for September 2009 and the 3rd Quarter of 2009 that the Thai economy is forecasted to contract at -3.5 to -4.0 percent in the 3rd quarter of 2009 but, however, will expand at 3.0 to 4.0 percent in the 4th quarter of 2009, resulting in a minus 3.0 percent for whole year. In the 3rd quarter of 2009, the GDP expanded higher than 2 percent compared to the same period last year as a result of the speed up of the government budget disbursement and the revival of major trading partners??? economics, at Press Release Room, Ministry of Finance, October 27 2009.
