MOF???s Spokesman Announced the Result the 5 Key Economic Agencies Meeting


Mr. Somchai Sujjaponse, Advisor on Fiscal Policy, the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) and Finance Ministry spokesman, announced the result of the Meeting among 5 key economic agencies including Ministry of Finance, Bank of Thailand, Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board, Bureau of the Budget and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), that Thailand???s economy for the second quarter was decelerated more than the first quarter due to the decrease of consumption and private investment. However, the third and fourth quarter will be better because the decrease of the world???s old price will help reduce the pressure on the inflation which could lead to the relaxation of the monetary policy. The inflation for 2008 is expected to lower than 7%, at Press Release Room, Ministry of Finance, August 14 2008.
