BAAC Committee Meeting
Mr. Surapong Suebwonglee, the deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, acting Chairman of the Board of Directors, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), presided the BAAC committee meeting and announced the plan of a rice-pledging scheme in which it would buy the upcoming second crop at 14,000 baht per ton (the amount of humidity in the grains not exceeded the 15% limit) during June 15 ??? September 30 and expected the farmer to pledge the rice with the government in total of 2.5 million tons (35,000 million baht), at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (Head Office), June 9 2008.
