Announced the Result of the Pilot Project on Weather Index Insurance
Mr. Thiraphong Tangthirasunan, the President of Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Mrs. Chantra Buranalerk, the director general of Department of Insurance, and Mr. Sujin Whanglee, the Chairman of the General Insurance Association, jointly announced the result of the pilot project on weather index insurance in the area of Pakchong District of Nakornratchasima Province in which the project received a very good result and, in 2008, there were plans to expand to other provinces including Phetchaboon, Nakornsawan, Lopburi and Saraburi province, at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (Head Office), May 15 2008.
